High School String Techniques is a combined grade-level ensemble that builds on the learning gained in Beginning String Techniques and Continuing String Techniques. Students participating in this course focus on mastery of their individual instruments in the context of large group ensemble performance. Objectives central to the Beginning Strings course remain the bedrock of all levels of the BLA String Program. Each year’s goals give individual students and the ensemble as whole opportunities to dig more deeply and more thoroughly into musical and string-specific concepts, elements, and skills.
