Course Description

Interested in going into business? into engineering? into creative arts? into Life? This interdisciplinary course is designed for ANY students who seek a greater understanding of: where their food comes from, where their waste goes, ecological processes, how disease is spread and studied, conservation practices, wildlife and their habitats, population dynamics, biodiversity, resource use, how to save money and energy, and the applications of technology in environmental studies. A special emphasis is placed on exploring and understanding our place in the natural world and our effects on it. We participate in a variety of contests and programs throughout the year depending upon interest and skills ex/ Lexus Eco Challenge; Massachusetts Envirothon; Duck Stamp Contest; Eversource Challenge; Boston Public Schools, Zoo New England, World Unity Inc. DEI Poetry Contest; etc.
