Course Description

In addition to review of all materials covered in Chinese 1 and Chinese 2, students will also learn how to report facts, express likes and dislikes, agreements and disagreements, thoughts and feelings, and state opinions in speaking and writing. Selected passages from literature with English translation will be assigned for reading. Cultural topics already studied will be dealt with in greater detail. Field trips are planned. Students will visit the language laboratory. Tapes, videos, CDs, DVDs and slides will be used extensively to study Chinese language and culture.
