Course Description

This course strengthens students’ skills in the fundamentals of Spanish, focusing on the traditional strands of language acquisition: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The course is also designed to increase students’ awareness of Spanish culture and history through a comparative investigation of their culture with that of the target language and an analysis of various historical themes. By year’s end, students will know the imperfect, future and conditional tenses as well as the present subjunctive mood and all forms of the imperative mood. Students will be able to express themselves verbally and in writing in the target language using the above tenses and moods.
