This course provides an introduction to the study of matter and energy and their inter-relationships, laboratory experiences that support the content, and continues the heavy quantitative emphasis begun in physics. It includes atomic structure and chemical bonding, chemical relationships and reactions, stoichiometric calculations, kinematics and equilibrium, solutions and acid-base chemistry, redox reactions, and nuclear chemistry.
