English Language Arts 12

Course Description

The English 12 Course will examine novels, short stories, poems, and nonfiction texts from around the world, focusing on common bonds and shining a light on universal issues to build and inform a global perspective. Building on the work in previous English classes, students will be able to identify and analyze the unique differences across different cultures represented in texts and how these texts help to define a people, culture, and nations. Students will be required to write a synthesis research essay that brings together independent research, works read in class, and an independent reading text. {FLESH OUT & Name TEXTS}
